The short version
Helpset is built to be simple and low-stress. Most tools run fully in your browser and we do not require you to create an account. Some tools may save information locally on your device so that the tool can work properly or remember your progress.
Helpset may also use Google advertising and Cloudflare Web Analytics. These services may process technical information as explained below. We do not sell your personal data.
Information saved on your device
Some Helpset tools may save what you type, create or select on your device using your browser's local storage. This can help keep information available when you return to a tool.
This information is normally stored in your own browser and is not uploaded to a Helpset server unless a tool clearly says otherwise. You can remove local data by clearing the site data or local storage for helpset.uk in your browser.
Analytics
Helpset uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to help us understand overall site use and improve the website. This may process technical information about visits, such as page requests, device and browser information and similar data used to understand site traffic.
We do not use Google Analytics or create user accounts for tracking your activity across the web.
Advertising and Google AdSense
Helpset may display advertisements supplied by Google and other advertising technology partners through Google AdSense. When advertising is shown, Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, prevent fraud and limit how often an advertisement is shown.
Depending on your location, choices and settings, ads may be personalised using information such as previous browsing activity or may be non-personalised and based on contextual information such as the content of the page, general location or device information.

Cookies and consent choices
Cookies and similar technologies may be used by Helpset and third-party services. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before using optional advertising cookies or similar technologies.
Visitors in the UK, European Economic Area and Switzerland may be shown a consent message that allows them to accept, reject or manage advertising and other privacy choices. Your choices can usually be changed again through the privacy or consent controls made available on the site.

Third-party services
Helpset uses a small number of third-party services to deliver and support the site. These may include:
Google Fonts — used to load the typefaces shown on the website. Your browser connects to Google's font service to request the font files.
Google AdSense — used to display and measure advertising where ads are enabled. Google's advertising technology may process information and use cookies or similar technologies as described above and in Google's own privacy information.
Cloudflare Web Analytics — used to understand overall website traffic and performance.
Ko-fi — if you choose to use the optional support link, you will be taken to Ko-fi and their privacy terms will apply to your use of their service.
Children's privacy
Helpset provides tools and resources that may be used by children, parents, carers and professionals. We do not require children or other visitors to create an account to use the main tools.
Advertising and consent choices are managed through the advertising and consent systems used on the site and may vary depending on the visitor's location and applicable rules.
Data protection and your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights in relation to personal information processed about you, including rights to access, correct, delete or restrict certain processing. Where Helpset itself holds information that identifies you, you may contact us to ask about those rights.
We do not provide a user account system and most information created in Helpset's tools remains on your device. For information held by third-party services such as Google, Cloudflare or Ko-fi, you may also need to use the privacy controls or contact methods provided by those services.
